Why does the app need Screen Time access?
Screen Snitch needs Screen Time access to show you how long you've spent in your selected apps and to block those apps once you hit your limits.
How does the friend notification work?
When you exceed a limit, your phone blocks the app. To unlock it, you open Screen Snitch and confess to your friends — you pick an excuse, tap "Snitch on Yourself", and your friends get a push notification. They also see your excuse in their activity feed.
The app isn't tracking my screen time correctly.
Two common causes: Screen Time access hasn't been granted, or a known quirk in Apple's Screen Time framework has caused a miscount. For the first — go to Profile → Settings and make sure Screen Time access is enabled. For the second — Apple's tracking isn't always perfectly accurate, and occasional discrepancies are outside our control. Either way, force-quitting and reopening the app usually helps.
